It looks like I need to buy a new tech ELT for my Waiex. Any recommendations? I may look for a special at Oshkosh.

Probably not a lot of real-world information from people that have put their ELTs to the test.
I chose mine because it's color matched my wife's favorite bathing suit.

I'm hoping for cheap but useable. Not looking for a performance test.

I have the Artex 345 and really like it. Not the cheapest but it has a number of advantages that include the entire system running on one battery with a 6 year service life between replacements. If you are going to feed it gps data make sure you know the data format and rate ie NMEA baud 4800 or 9600 before you order it. The kit is complete and easy to install.

Wicks is running a 10% off Osh special. I picked up a ACK Technologies ELT - ACK E04 406MHZ/GPS for $553 with free shipping.
