Hi Pete,
We are quite a ways off the subject here but your story sounds familiar. In 2011 I was struck from behind on the interstate while riding my bike to the airport. Never seen him coming at such a high rate of speed. As I was flying through the air I was sure I was done for. The Grace of God and a helmet kept me here. Don't ride motorcycles anymore. I'm not scared of my riding but I can't trust others with their head down in an electronic device.
I have given some passing thought to when to give up flying. As long as the gray matter can make good judgement calls and the body can muscle the plane out of the hangar, I figure I'll continue. Seen several pilots in their 80's and even early 90's still flying. Gives me great hope that I should enjoy a number of years still.
Blessings,
Dale
