Hey Ted,

Looking good. What airspeed do you usually thermal at?

How do your rudder cables look? All 4 of mine are bad. I should receive the replacements from Sonex on Tuesday.

Very cool! For us non-motorglider types, how does a Xenos perform? 2-33? ASK21? Nimbus?

My rudder cables were fine - they passed my inspection ok.
Bryan, my Xenos has a 24:1 glide ratio and is a little better than a 126 and a little worse than the others you mention. Not sure about the 2-33. Seems about the same to me (I fly both). I enjoy it much.

I thermal around that speed too. Would be great to be able to thermal closer to 50MPH though. It's just too hard to core these small east coast thermals at too high a speed. When I flew hang gliders we flew around 15MPH and on many days could get locked into a thermal core better than those $200K glass ships. A few years back in Hobbs, NM I was able to take a hang glider from 50 feet AGL (no that's not a typo) to 11,000 feet in about 40 minutes. :shock: Not something we can do on the east coast unfortunately. :(
