About time someone built a Sonex with this powerplant

Symmetry is highly overrated. The Sonex rudder hinge is offset to one side and things work just fine. Humans have a heart on one side and a liver on the other. I once had a Ford Festiva that pulled to the side due to torque steer because one of the FWD driveshafts was longer than the other. Anyone who flies single engine prop planes deals with asymmetry every time that throttle goes forward. Embrace lopsidery!

PBS makes a turboprop version of the SubSonex engine:

Power rating is 180 Kw, which converts to about 241 horsepower. That ought to make the Sonex get up and go, huh! :)
