Belt/Disc Sander

I've got a belt/disc sander that I just started using for finishing edges. I've been using 120 grit to sand to the lines which gives a pretty nice result and then hand sanding with a block with 220 over that and to knock the sharp off the edges.

What type of abrasives do you use with your belt/disc sanders?
What grit do you find works best?

I generally use my belt sander to shape parts, and as such have a pretty coarse grade on the belt. I think it's either 80 or 100. It leaves a pretty rough edge but works well to grind away material. I'll use that to get the parts close, and then hand sand with 150 to 220 to smooth. It seems to work well, but keep in mind I'm not the kind of person that takes 3 hours to make each part. Works for me! :D

Wow, you should really get a Scotch-Brite wheel, leaves parts glass smooth.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I'll hand sand when needed but most of my finishing is using the scotch brite wheel, which I love!
