Onex and the MDRA

Postby GOIX » Fri Sep 09, 2011 8:05 am

Hi Guys,

I picked up my kit on August 23rd and have slowly been familiarizing myself with the parts and plans . I will be filing my Letter of Intent soon . I noticed that the Onex is not on the 51% list yet . Have any Canadians filed with the MDRA yet ?

I'm hoping that this thread can be used for all things related to the MDRA and the Onex .

Marc, this is the answer I got from Sonex when I posed the same question about the 51% rule back in June 27th.So apparently it's still in the works.

Hi Mike,

We have submitted a formal request to the FAA?s National Kit Evaluation Team for an audit of our new Onex kits. We are waiting to hear back with them with an appointment for them to visit and go through the kit. We maintain a very good relationship with the NKET and our hope is that the audits will happen within the next few months.

Regards,
-Mark

Marc I noticed that you have obviously reserved the registration mark C-GOIX which left me with GXIX ,the only mark left that ended in IX so I grabbed it.Should be fun if we ever wind up in the same circuit :?
I talked with the powers that be at MDRA and was told it would be better to wait for the Onex to show up on the list before sending our $80 for the letter of intent. So Jeremy if you are reading our forum at all ,please let us know when the Onex is on the list.I know it has passed FAA inspection.

Mike,

Thanks for the info . I'm not too worried about it . I'll just patiently wait and hold on to my money for now .
