The Life Of Danger Blog - Kerry Fores

Postby Kerry Danger Fores » Mon Jun 09, 2014 1:07 pm

Sonex Friends,

In my quest to some day starve to death as a writer, and at the goading of a bipolar cousin, I have begun a blog called The Life Of Danger.

I post a new story each Wednesday, and this coming Wednesday will be my first aviation-related post, a poem I started 9 years ago which was inspired by my Sonex, Metal Illness.

Other topics to date have included travel, motorcycles, sports cars, Vietnam Vets, drunks at bars, and scrapping a Dodge Dynasty.

My blog is located here:
www.TheLifeOfDanger.com

And you can find me on Facebook at Kerry Danger Fores.

Thank you for allowing me this shameless plug!

Blue Skies….

Very cool. We need more stories about a week's worth of pent up customer service rage. I had no idea that you could write as well as talk!

Nice, way nice, way too nice because now I'm reading instead of building.

Kerry is a multidimensional being with crazy wisdom overflowing the page like a beer gut over an impressive belt.

Out of 10, I give him an 11.

Friends, and Andrew Pearce….

I appreciate the comments I've gotten on my writing, both publicly and privately. As rewarding as building Metal Illness was, having people tell me that my Sun and Fun article (published in Sport Pilot Magazine in July 2006) inspired them to build is perhaps even more rewarding. Words can have a powerful impact and it's humbling to think I strung together words in such a way that I inspired someone to build an airplane themselves. Hopefully I've also inspired others to scrap their 1980's Dodge Dynasty's as well.

Today I've posted another Sonex flying story that relives my July 4th weekend from 2008. That weekend began with little promise but ended with fond memories and a large step forward in healing from a pretty fresh divorce. Life goes on, so get out there and live.

Please stop by my blog again when you get chance. If you like it enough, you can subscribe (no cost, no spam) and receive automatic notifications each time I post another story. The future holds more flying, motorcycling, car, and travel stories - all hopefully wrapped up in the human experience - and in time I plan to expand to include photography and other topics of interest to me, and hopefully my readers.

Have a great 4th of July weekend all!

Another poignant and well written piece. Very, very well done Kerry. Sport Aviation missed out, big time....but that's no surprise.

You've definitely got a future as a Wal-Mart greeter....or a writer....I can't decide

Kerry
Just read your 4th of July blog. It was great. Just the thing I want to do when mine is flying. Just get in and fly to anywhere with no end point or specific time to be there and return when I am ready.
Maybe you do have some writing skills.
