Ground Adjustable Prop

Has anyone tried it?

Interested in results, particularly TO performance with it set fine.

I hope to be flying in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know then!

Thought I'd just revive this old thread and ask if anyone has any more info about how the ground adjustable prop performs?

I just made my first flights this weekend! http://youtu.be/sOp9UugkzC0

Before I flew I set the prop at a medium pitch. At a full power runup it only turned about 2,600 RPM. So I reset it to the lowest pitch and got just shy of 3,000 RPM on the ground.

On takeoff on my first flights I got just shy of 3,000 RPM, though I did not pay attention to the climb rate. I haven't gotten it to WOT in flight due to watching the temps, but I have seen 3,000 RPM a few times and I don't think I was at full throttle yet.

I'll report more when I'm spending less time watching the engine and more time checking the numbers.
