When to stop polishing

With new CAE engine running great, but raining, gave the bird its overdue Spring polish and realized that there is an easy way to tell when it has been polished enough.

That is the point when the hazy image of Joe Cool pilot is replaced by the sharp image of a disheveled looking old buzzard.

I think you have to stop when there is no more airplane left.
