Hello everyone,
Trying to learn as much as I can so I can make an informed decision about which plane to build. The Sonex keeps popping to the top of my lists! Private pilot for 2 years, learned on 172 then rented 150's, now own and fly CGS Hawk Arrow ii. Good plane for a couple hours here and there as long as you don't mind slow. ;-) Looking to get a little faster with decent XC legs. Also, if there are any sonex close by that I could see, touch, smell and possibly (drool) sit in...that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for letting me glean some of your knowledge.

Pat,
Welcome to the forums!
Sonex has a builder search and there are a few builders within a 50 mile radius of Bangor.

The Sonex workshop is a good experience to help you choose. It is part information, part sales pitch, part hanging out with like minded people. I enjoyed it.

Wow! Thanks Brian, I did a quick search and there are 3 REALLY close to me (under 30 minute drive!). I can not wait to dive into all the info on this board. Thanks again for the help and the welcome.
