Alternate supplier for Aerovee mags?

I think I have a bad top mag. I want to replace it, but was hoping I could get a super fast turnaround on a new one, so wondering if anyone knows what mag the Aerovee is using. I'm happy to buy from Sonex, but if I can get one shipped overnight from another supplier then I'd like to do that.

It's a Briggs and Stratton part...not sure what the part number is but you might get a match at a small engine shop.

The part number for the Briggs & Stratton "Armature-Magneto" is 394891.

That model # was superseded by 590781. But that is not a match for the current mag. The center portion is different, and the wires exit in a different location. The 33-345 I noted above, appears to be the model that matches the current AV mags.

Just curious. What is the failure mode of a mag like that?

Well, in this case nil. I thought is was a bad mag, but it was a reversed magnet on the flywheel (see my Primary Ignition posts). But that mag I bought is a drop-in replacement for the one Sonex provides, as I ran the engine on it today and it works great.

The magnetrons are very simple devices. It's a bunch of coiled up copper wires! So the failure mode has got to be very, very low.
