Rudder drive horn - bushings?

Postby Gunther » Tue May 20, 2014 11:58 pm

Hello to all. I just noticed that the rudder drive horn is controlled via two 3/16" bolts. Has anyone considered pressing thin bushings in the holes to prevent wear of the 3/16" aluminum drive horn?
I haven't checked the edge distance of the part to verify if there's room to drill 1/4 instead of 3/16 for a bushing.

Thanks,
Gunther

Guther,

Re: bushings - No not that I am aware of, no need really as there is not much load on the rudder cables in flight.

Rule #1 - build first to plans - modify later.. if only I had stuck to that rule!

Cheers
