I got the airplane into the back yard today with the help of Howard Linker and Al Lavender we rolled it into my back yard. The AeroVee started up on the first try with no hesitations and ran great.
After running it we put the wings on so I can spend time trimming and installing the wing root doublers, and making sure all the controls will link up.
it looks and sounds great Mike! you are definitely getting close to the first flight! Did you paint the front of your turtle deck before or after you assembled it?

Before. I painted the formers and then installed them. I also painted the rear canopy frames so that they will blend in with the red formers behind. Canopy was off for first start and wing install.
