Xenos glider performance

Postby fastj22 » Mon Oct 21, 2013 10:21 pm

I haven't heard any pilot reports on how the Xenos performs as a glider. How does it do without the engine running? Can it reasonably fly thermals and stay aloft for extended periods like other unpowered sailplanes?

I'm dreaming of my next project and having a self launch sailplane sounds kinda fun, if it actually can be a sailplane.

Been off the air (computer air) for a while - sorry for the delay in reply. The Xenos works exactly as one would expect a 24:1 L/D glider to fly. This is better than the Schweizer 1-26. I like mine fine. If the air where and when you are has ok lift, you can soar.
