Recommendation for 2 1/4 Comm radio?

Postby dboeshaar » Mon Jun 10, 2024 5:23 pm

I'm looking for a Comm radio for my Model B project. 2 1/4 would fit fine.
I have a GRT Sport but I want to control the radio with its own controls.

Thoughts?

I got the MGL V16 and N16. Either one can be controlled with the 2-1/4 head, but since I wanted both I got the 3-1/2 inch Razor head. Haven’t flown, but the quality seems good, it tests well in the hangar, the installation was straightforward including I am using the intercom function.

Also have the V16 radio (mounted under the seat) and the MGL head (2-1/4"). I like it for the kind of flying I do. Simple, works well. Has a memory channel feature so, if preprogrammed, can be set to toggle through your favorite frequencies. Display very easy to read.
