Cable Fairing

Postby BobDz » Sun Mar 24, 2024 10:45 pm

Evening Fellow Builders

Not sure I can bring myself to to mount the rudder cable fairings on the outside of the Skin.

I was thinking of using epoxy to mount a few nut plates on the back side of the fairing and install them on the inside of the skin with a flat head machine screw.

Has anyone done anything similar?

Make them out of aluminum and then you don't have to hide them.

I know some of you like to make every part and I commend that. But these are cheap enough and can be attached with some grey RTV or glue ...

Thanks Bryan. That was on my list to consider.
