This is incredibly sad news for me as I just learned that a real good friend of mine is now dead. Dick Martin was a wonderful man that I first met many years ago when he flew that same plane with VW power to the American Sonex association Gathering in Crossville Tennessee. We met at these gatherings several times over the years.

Dick sold his plane to a good friend and they converted it to Corvair power. He loved the way it flew and we talked many times over the phone about the conversion process. Over the last few years that it had been flying he would often send me pics & videos. I had not heard from him for the last few months.

Quite sad to know he's gone west. Goodbye my friend, you will be missed ...
