Sonerai IIL N86PH about 1986 at Orange County Airport, NY.
1835 cc, sterba prop, no electrical system, 3 pulls to start, engine ran great, fast as hell. It loved landing in grass and a full slip would put in anywhere (there were no flaps). Only mod was 2.5 inches to the turtledeck, you can see where the slope increases just behind the canopy.

Beauty. You can definitely see the family resemblance in the details.

Pity that Sonex wont adopt any of his many well proven innovations that make these ( Robins) aircraft so capable.
