Would love to test fly a Sonex in the bay area

I'm interested in purchasing a Sonex. I haven't flown in one so would at minimum like to sit in one if not fly around for a short amount of time. I normally fly out of KPAO or KSQL but I could also come to a different airport if that's more convenient. I'm also planning to attend Oshkosh this year so if that's better we can do that as well. I'm a new pilot so looking to build cross country time, fly locally , and eventually do some IFR training.

I would not recommend a sonex to someone wanting to build XC time and learn IFR skills. It's a fun plane but not well suited for how you describe your mission. A C172 or C182 (if you can afford it) would be a better bang for your buck because you could possibly sell it for the purchase price and buy something else after building time and ratings. That's my opinion, anyways.

It's a great cross country airplane. Or a good one, at least. It's the wrong airplane for IFR training.
