MGL EFIS XTreme Gen 2 vs Gen 3

Postby austexaviator » Thu Apr 20, 2023 3:47 pm

Does anyone know the difference between these two generations? From what I can tell from the installation manuals it appears MGL dropped support for the RDAC and Airtalk protocols and only supports the can bus protocol. Can someone confirm that? I have an older RDAC and accelerometer/magnetometer and was hoping to upgrade from the monochrome Stratomaster to this. But if I have to upgrade the peripherals it is not nearly as cost effective.

Thoughts welcome.
