Pre-Buy Inspection

Postby hdwebb3 » Fri Feb 10, 2023 6:28 pm

I'm new to the group and am looking to purchase a Sonex. Is there anyone in the vicinity of Manitowoc Airport (WI) that does pre-buys? I'm an educator in Texas and getting up there right now is difficult.

Welcome to the forum! I can't really offer a pre-buy, but I might be able to look at it and give an impression. Next weekend if the weather is good my son and I are going to practice some XC. It's about 130 miles.

I don't know if he would do it but Joe Norris used to work for Sonex and EAA and it my understanding he is retired. He is very qualified. The Sonex factory might also be able to recommend someone.

There are definitely a few Sonex people in that neighborhood. It looks really nice and the price is reasonable.

Thanks for the kind words. I'd be happy to do it, but I'm down in Texas at the moment and won't be back in OSH till April.

There are quite a few Sonex builders and EAA Tech Counselors up in that neck of the woods. I'm sure someone will be able to help out.
