Follow-up question regarding running the wires:
1) Run wires through tubing through the tooling holes (seems like the thing to do for possible future wire change); or
2) through snap bushings only in the tooling holes; or
3) snap bushings and tubing (seems like overkill... or is it)?

I did #1. I'm happy with it.

For the landing lights, I used DuckWorks for an RV-9A and loved the way they turned out.
They do have kits for Sonex as well. Several options at several prices. I'm going with LED option.

Of course, your mileage may vary.
