I don't recall the numbers but I'm sure I did it iteratively. It is much easier to cut a little more off than it is to put more on. Of course, with fiberglass you can put more on and I've done that on an RV7 wingtip, but that is a pain. The goal is to get the end of the tip to align with the ruddervator. You can do some calculations based on geometry to get close.
