One of my neighbors caught me landing today and snapped a picture.

My first fly in at Cottonwood Airport in Rockford. It's about 15nm from home.

Unfortunately the night before my hangar was broken into. Thankfully for me, my avionics are all old crap and nothing was taken. My neighbor lost a Garmin ADSB out transponder. For those near Chicago, this has been happening a lot. Take precautions. We live in an area where some people leave their doors unlocked as there is not a lot of crime. We will be installing security at the hangar. Sucks.

Hi Bryan

Sorry to hear about the theft. Hate to hear it, it really sucks. Not much you can do to secure an airplane…
Thanks for the great pics and video, can’t wait to make my own.

Was that final approach right over the center of a stadium? What do they think when there is a game going on and everyone is out flying around?

Love this video!

Sure is easy to spot your plane with all that sunshine reflecting off your polish job.

Yep, at the local high school. That was only my second time into Cottonwood. First time was with Adam in the C140. The departure over the stadium is more interesting when you have limited climb performance. No idea what people think. Probably used to it.

Well, I've flown to Vne.
Waiex Vne dive.jpg

My MFD has a history mode and it shows I actually got to 176 KCAS and 3950 RPM. So just over my 171kt Vne and just under the 4000 RPM Aerovee redline. I'll call that one done!
