baggage area

What have other builders/owners done to make the baggage area more usable? I'm referring to the rudder cables trisecting the area.

Bill,

I used 0.016" 2024T3 sheet to fit out the baggage area. I made 0.025" floor ribs for the bottom to rest on, similar to my RV-6. I also made a hat shelf behind in the next aft bay because I wanted to seal off the aft fuselage from the cockpit. All up with nutplates & screws, this added 5 lbs as compared to nothing.
