Has anyone run into a clearance problem with the cowling at the prop hub? I have the 1/8" clearance at the back of the hub but I'm a half inch low from the centerline because the inside of the cowling is against the bottom edge of a 2" cover under the crankshaft. There simply appears to be not enough space for the cowling to raise up without doing surgery on it to provide the clearance. I'll try to upload 2 pics.

I avoided this problem by following David A.'s advice and installed a prop spacer to get my cowl 1" further forward. This gave me the clearance for the oil cooler and it's inlet in front of the sump; but just barely. I did have to extend my cowl so it could reach the firewall.
I would say without moving the cowl, some clearance blisters would be needed.
