Congrats on getting over the next few hurdles! Looking forward to your first flight.

I could help you with Sonex time if you can get your weight down to 67lbs. LOL

Or lose some weight...

(Actually, both the airplane and I could stand to go through a weight loss program. I have yet to really use the smoke system and who needs comfortable seats?!)

Thanks Matt! I got through the flight review last Saturday no problem, and did 1.3 at lunch today. I'm feeling pretty good. Time to start looking for a little Sonex time. I don't even need to log it - just need to get used to the airplane a little bit.

I did fly with Josh for about an hour, back in 2017 or so. But I can't say I remember the particulars of sight picture and so on! Thanks again Josh!

I'm hopeful we just did our last ground run. Engine ran great. Pulled 3200 static and nearly dragged my Saturn across the ramp.

Thanks guys for the positive comments! Second flight completed this AM.

Squawks:
Oil on the belly. Still messy but not like the first time.
One set of CHTs are reading really low, like 130. Not sure I believe that.
Right hand seat does not transmit. Makes unintelligible noise. A Cessna called departing 12 and I asked if they saw me on short final. The airplane behind them told me I was unreadable.
Landing gear fairing pins need to be retained somehow. RHS top pin pulled out of the fuse and the fairing was pushed way forward.

My homemade VOR antenna seems to work. This airplane is very easy to land. I did some 2G turns and some slips, clean and flaps down.

I also had unreadable transmissions until I installed a large capacitor in the alternator/regulator system. Clear as a bell, after the install, I was told.

Thanks Randy. My transmissions from the left seat are good, so I suspect a wiring or headset issue.
