Intake Elbow Spacers

Postby mike.smith » Wed Mar 30, 2022 8:20 pm

When I built my AeroVee years ago there were no spacers between the intake elbows and the heads. Reading the latest assembly manual I see there are now spacers called for (ACV-M01-17). I'm curious what they are for? Anyone know?

Adding them now will almost certainly require repositioning the holes in the rear baffle and alter the height of the carb.

Having said that, if you want a set, I have an unused pair you can have for the cost of shipping.

Just curious. I was looking through the new manual to see if there were any noteable changes.

I believe weather you need them or not depends on the part number of the heads. The older heads did not need the spacers, I believe the newer heads do need them.
