I can't wait to be working with stainless. Just started the fuselage today, got a ways to go. Looks great Robbie, you will have to fly up here in the spring.

An update on Sonex 1517. Finished updrilling the forward fuselage and disassembled it for deburring thanks to some help from my good friend Jim.
Now on to the boring task of deburring. But it is the last big deburring task I have!
These photos are from yesterday as I completed updrilling and began disassembly. Thanks to Tony Sabos for keeping me company and shooting some of the photos.
Building is a series of small tasks and accomplishments. Some times there are mistakes and setbacks, other times we reach milestones.
Today was a big milestone for me.
I started building my fuselage in May 2013. Even with matched holes, my work schedule kept me from getting as much done as I wanted to. But today I sat in my airplane for the first time and made the required propeller noises....
A few photos attached...
I am reasonably certain we would have exceeded gross weight in one of them....
For those of you still building or just getting started, keep at it!
