Kills me that no one has invented a low clearance 90 degree drill.

A pancake drill and a short bit works well.

Thanks. Will give that a try.

Amazing tool. Took a few days to drill through the first hole. 1/8" drill bit broke on the second hole about 1/4" into the titanium. Dealing with a hole new set of issues just to get the bit out of that tight space.
Have researched a lot on this topic, and I think BrownTool's 3/16" Double-Ended RESCUE BIT looks like the best option to get the bit fush with the titanium stock so I can pull it out and deal with it in the drill press.

Also ordered a few 2" long (1/8" and 3/16" diameter) magnets from https://www.kjmagnetics.com in hopes that I might be able to pull it out.
