On December 3, 2013 N119CX lifted off powered by a smooth running Corvair aircraft engine from Pompano Beach Airpark (PMP), Florida. What a thrill to fly your own plans built airframe and engine after three years of building by my brother Don and me. This tail wheel airplane handled just like the Sonex aircraft in the Transition program run by Joe Norris that I attended in September. Easy to fly and easy to land without any surprises. Now to get the forty hours flown off. Clarence Dunkerley Plans built #1306
Congrats Clarence and Don! Quite an accomplishment to scratch build in 3 years.

My first flight was 6 months ago and I still cherish that feeling when you bring her home in one piece. I'm getting the itch for another. Onex maybe?

How about a Panther? If I was building a single seat, currently that would be my choice.

How many of you first flighters get the itch to build again? There's a hole in my garage that must be filled.
