Going to KFOK

That's KFOK - Gaberski - on Long Island to see Tim Wrede's build of Sonex B Serial 0018. He lucked out and got to the top of the hangar wait list about the time he was ready to move out the garage and get to final assembly. He has done a lovely job, painting the hangar floor and rewiring it with all new bright lighting and power outlets and some 220v for his compressor.

It was finally cool enough to have a nice hour or so flying down from Newport to go look see. He let me help lift the wings off their carrier onto the sawhorses! And we chatted. And every man and his dog (all his hangar neighbors) came to look see!

Cool! I SO want that engine in my Onex :) Maybe one day, or I'll have to build a Sonex for it.

That must be the most un cluttered firewall I've ever seen! Rodents turn their nose up at my setup for the lack of room.

Is an aeromomentum motor mount available for the B model or is it a one-off build it yourself proposition?

Lou,

I don't know - you would have to ask Tim Wrede directly on that one.
