It will work with a Onex but with a couple of small changes. Steve Nelson, Onex flyer from South Australia has supplied me with dimensions and a photo (thanks Steve). It appears that the "D" handle is set much further back on the Onex than on the Sonex so either the handle would have to be relocated forward or an additional pin fitted to the hook angle (the sliding part). There is also not quite enough space for the main body of the locking handle on the forward end of the canopy side rail. The forward end of the hook angle would have to be trimmed by about 2mm. With those two changes it should work OK.

Excellent! I'm waiting to build up some extra funds again and then I'll be ordering it and a few other of Peter's accessories. Good to hear that things aren't being held up in shipping anymore as well.
Let us know how the install goes.

My canopy is not standard. I webbed the inside and outside of the tube to rail as I didn't like how fiddly the welded 120 angle tubes were. So one of my webs was in the way and had to be trimmed. I was incredibly lucky. My rivets matched Peter's block holes - otherwise I might have had a rail like Swiss cheese or had to make a new rail.
I riveted the block in place first and used it to find the center for the plexi
Then I step drilled it from the outside.
Dry fit - no sprung center pin in place
I do have a clearance problem with the side panel liner which will need a little "fettling".
In this dry run - I'm not sure how the back of my hand will fare against the knob when on the throttle. Thinking I will reprofile the knob
Ultimately - I'm probably going to replace the rivets that secure the "holder" with through 3mm x 25mm bolts for a solid hold. I've let Peter know about this.
