I know this is an old thread, Jeff I sent you a pm asking about the filter and if it still worked for you. I am having issues and think it may be the 50 ohm spark plug wires I just put on leaking rf noise. Mine is doing the same thing yours was doing although it is also effecting my mgl enigma efis now as well.

Glad you posted this Mark, I was not ignoring you. Just haven't been on the site in a while. I'm a little hesitant to say now it for sure works. The last time I ran the engine (about a month ago)I did not here anyone on the radio. I have to go run it again and get out my handheld radio to test it to make sure it's working and nobody was on the frequency last time. How is your efis being affected?

Rpm fluctuations, Cht will show 250 with cowling off and once interference starts it may jump 250-350 back and forth, now my ahrs screen is Xed out and not reading. I changed out sparkplug wires and distributor caps and rotors all at the same time. Dist is aftermarket although I ended up ordering jab parts from Tn to the tune of $200 for caps and rotors (ouch). If replacing wires with higher resistance wires doesn’t work I may try the Oem caps before I try that filter you installed. Do you remember how you installed it? My radio is powered from avionics switch so I thought it should go on incoming side of avionics switch

I wired it between my bus and the radio. I didn't have any efis issues so I didn't include it. It has a 10amp limit. So you could certainly wire your efis and radio through it.
