I have started working on the ailerons and am getting ready to cut out the hole for the counterweight arms to extend through. Can anyone think of a reason for cutting such a big hole in the aileron? It seems to me that cutting slots like we do on the drive plates would be satisfactory. I appreciate comments anyone cares to make on this issue may be another dumb thought. I am remembering someone with a wasp problem and it seems to me that the hole would be an ideal home for mud daubers.
