Never heard of that technique but it makes PERFECT sense!!!!

First Prototype of canopy opening mechanism.
Lever pivots at lower hole.. pulls latch back and spring loaded lever pops up canopy frame.
I have one more iteration of this System in the works to see which is best.

While you’re on it....how about incorporating a reliable latching mechanism that doesn’t require a pin to make it reliable....like what I’m seeing here :)

Some may remember Back when Made the left side forward fuselage side I put a rear spar slot up top and decided to keep going and figure it out later. Well here is my solution.

That looks very clean! However to my uneducated eye, I do wonder if that high point in the flexible hose routing might be a trap for bubbles/air? It's a little hard to tell from the pictures if relative to aircraft-level any bubbles will return to the tank.

No clamps on yet. It will be all down hill.
