Oshkosh Airventure 2011

Postby MichaelFarley56 » Sun Jul 24, 2011 3:53 pm

I believe Oshkosh starts tomorrow and unfortunately I wont be able to make it this year, so I wanted to start a thread to see if anyone is going, or if you're there if there's anything to report for this year.

If anyone is going have a great time and I hope to see you there next year!

I'm going up Thursday - we had a friend from Sydney, Australia and his daughter stay with us this weekend and they headed up there today.

My plan is to focus on Sonex stuff and a couple of vendors, do a workshop or two, and hang out with the family...

I made it in yesterday. After a night of camping I'm heading to my airplane right now. I need to find a cell phone charging Station otherwise my pictures will be a few and far between. I'll write back in a little bit...

Some pics of the Onex would be appreciated ,especially if they have a nose gear Onex prototype there.I will be there next year.

Sorry guys the pictures are too big to load from my phone. I counted about 13 non-factory aircraft here today. A great time at the factory party also. Perhaps I can get pictures of wednesday evening when I get home..

Have a great time up there Kip. My family made it in first thing this morning and got a parking spot in the very last row of HBC...it sounds like it's a great turnout this year!

Guys, I bailed today based on the OSH forecast. I am tired of dealing with weather this year...:)

It was about five hours even back to Atlanta today.

I'll work on the pics tomorrow...

Glad you made it home safely Kip. I see the forecast for OSH shows that warm front going through tomorrow afternoon, so you probably made a wise decision!

Bummer, but looking at the weather I can't argue with leaving.
