Excellent job on the video Mike, as always! I always love watching your videos!

I wish I would have known you were at Xenia to visit the AF museum. I’m very lucky to only be an hour away from what I consider to be the best aviation museum in the world!

Great work on getting into AirVenture! Smart thinking and I’m glad you had no issues on the arrival!

Thanks for sharing yet another excellent video!

Mike I really enjoyed your whole video!

I can't help myself as I critique my own flight videos and I noticed my own tendency to land left of center-line in my first several flights. If I put my flight instructor hat on I'd say that you are consistently left of center-line and should work on keeping the plane on the middle of the runway.

Great stuff, looked like an awesome adventure!

Yeah, I know! I just put my 400th hour on the plane yesterday and I STILL can't land on the center line! The sight picture with the angled glare shield, and the long nose that blanks out a view of the center line, just messes me up. Joe Norris warned me about that, and I still haven't been able to shake it. Always something to work on!

N27 - your plane homes in on the cheap fuel at that airport - every year..... You got that as a permanent waypoint? :-)

Mike,

I really enjoyed your video! It looks like you had a great trip to Oshkosh! Excellent portrayal of your grand adventure! Well done!

You look like you have your Sonex dialed in just right. Excellent airmanship as well!

For the record, I do have to say that for 5 years the AeroVee and AeroInjector really have been "dialed in."

After running the engine FAR too lean on the #2 needle at the beginning I finally switched to the #2.5. After a couple of adjustments I have NEVER touched the AeroInjector to make an adjustment in nearly 5 years. I don't adjust for cold or warm weather. I'm able to use the full throw of the mixture control to run in the winter (mixture fully in to start and take off; then lean in the air) and the summer (3/4" to 1" out to start and take off; then lean more in the air).

I average around 4.5 gph, but if I lean aggressively I can get down to around 4.0.

I know that's not the result everyone has, but it IS possible to have an AeroInjector run far better and far more reliably than any other carburetor out there.
