Jacking up a Onex

Since the Onex has the flat gear legs is there a way of elevating a wheel for maintenance without using a jack on the fuselage and without marring the paint on the leg.

Do you have a picture of the Onex gear leg and axle? Something like this might be suitable.
It was made to fit Jabiru gear legs but will lift anything that has a square end.

I don't have any paint to worry about. I just clamp a set of vice grips on the strut and use a car jack under it.

Time flies. It's time for first annual. I would like to put fresh rubber on the Onex.

So, last call. Has anyone come up with a nice way to pick up a Onex (in the hangar) for maintenance? Maybe some sort of lift table?

This is the only picture I could find right now. I find this Harbor Freight table indispensable. I originally bought it to move Pinball machines about 15 years ago but use it for lots of stuff. It makes putting Onex wings on a snap. A few towels, and jack it up high enough so only the upper tab engages. With the wing hanging off the table, its easy to jack it high enough to put it about 30 degrees folded and slide it right into place. I've done it myself dozens of times. It literally takes 5 minutes to put them on. Wiggle a little while dropping a bolt in and done. For Landing gear work, I use a 2x4 under the forward engine 'tabs' and jack it right up. I also used it like this for all the bottom skinning so I could move it to the comfortable height. They have gone up a bit in price but if it broke, I would go buy a new one immediately.

Just prop the tail, slide it under the main gear from the front, get down on your hands and knees and work the peddle by hand.?.?

I have also used it sideways on the firewall edge. I don't know what capacity mine is but the 500 pound one might work just as well. You shouldn't have any problems working the pedal. I just know I like mine and wouldn't be without it.
