Clear coat would just add weight and make any cleanup of any deterioration of the finish much more difficult. A full polish job, once completed, holds up very well especially after a couple of touch-up re-polishings. Mine has been more than two years since last touch-up polish and still gets complements.
Bad news for you is that best time too do the initial polish is while all the big sheets are flat on a table.

Finally back at it with wing two!! Thanx ups freight for losing my shipment for 5 days and then bring me this!! Good thing I didn’t need the corners.

Its bin a year and a half since cutting my first part and this is the last big aluminum part to finish. Soon on to the other 90%.

Also.. anyone that’s ready to vacuum bag they’re leading edge I have this three-quarter inch extension for the one side that can be Clecoed on when bending. I can bring it to Oshkosh if anyone wants it. Billy
