Tha 2019 Midwest Sonex Fly-In is in the record books!
We had 2 Waiex, 2 Onex, 7 Sonex and the first for a Sonex fly-in and Drake Field, a SubSonex from Oklahoma.
At 8:00 to start the day off right, Wantz and Klimek made a high speed pass down the runway followed shortly by arrival of 10 other Sonex aircraft. We were joined by 6 certified aircraft of different types. For the next three hours there was plenty of visiting friends and making new ones. At 11:30 wie broke for lunch and drew for door prizes supplied by various vendors. The top prize was another Prince propeller!
We had aircraft from Georgia, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Rick and I want extend our thanks to those who took the time to fly to Fayetteville and take part in a great gathering of aircraft enthusiasts, no matter the type.

Fantastic job guys! What a great event! Thank you for your hard work, organization and hospitality.

For those that made the trip in either by car or by plane, thanks for coming. I enjoyed spending time with you talking about your planes, build projects, or just generally catching up. The weather turned out out very fine, and was a big relief after weeks of crummy weather.

I look forward to seeing many of the same faces again at AirVenture, and then again back at Drake Field next year!

Awesome time guys!!! I really enjoyed it. We got back to Texas only about 30 min before the bottom fell out and the winds, hail, rain fell in the general area. Really glad we didn't leave later. We had to skirt around a storm going home but got there fine. I am also looking forward to OSH and next years Drake flyin.

Thanks to Rick, Frank, and Jeff (and the sponsors). I was happy to have work and weather allow me to fly 1700 miles in three days seeing 12 family members in three different cities, the finish of a world famous bike race, and win a sweet rivet squeezer at the Fly-In raffle. 170 mph on the way back to Atlanta from Kansas City capped things off nicely.

It was great to see everyone and thanks for the great time. I know that it's a lot of work.

Hope to see you at OSH.
