Decided on the Xenos-B

Postby rmtrudeau » Fri May 31, 2019 9:59 pm

Last week I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase the Xenos tail kit. I have been making my decision for about a year now...but I kept coming back to the Xenos since it is the "airplane" that I want to build.

Launching my website shortly to document the project and I am looking forward to bringing the Xenos further into the Sonex community. I also plan on documenting my further dive into Glider flying...should have my Commercial Add-On this summer.

I am a pilot by profession and this motorglider just checks too many boxes for me. Very intriguing. I do realize it isn't the best airplane or glider....but the flexibility it offers is the name of the game for me.

I am flying my Xenos A. It flies itself, pretty much. Aside from aerovee problems I have no complaints. My only regret is that I had not done it 15 years earlier.

Thanks Bill. Once flying season is more underway would love to hear more about how it flies. My ultimate dream would be to have the UL Power motor in it. If not, it would probably be the Jabiru 3300.

Hope the engine issues get better!
