Changing my oil

Postby Sonexcanada » Tue May 28, 2019 11:09 pm

Hi all new to the board just bought a sonex with the 80hp areovee and was going to do my first oil change tomorrow .
My question is as I still have the oil cooler on the bottom of the engine do I need to take it off to drain the oil and if so is it the 4 bolts that hold it to the baffling?

Thanks in advance

I have the bottom oil cooler, I take out the 4 bolts holding my oil cooler and gently just pull it out of the way and I use a string to keep it out of the way as the oil drains. I do not loosen or take off the oil hoses.
