I just listened to Episode 54. What great information! If only I'd heard all this before Nickasil cylinders, 4 rear main seals, 2 prop hubs, stripped spark plugs, 2 sets of cylinder heads, more leaks than I can count, plus many smaller headaches, and all this with only 6 hours total. (And, I'm a retired automotive machinist with countless non-VW engines successfully rebuilt.) I've been so discouraged it has been sitting for far too long. With this new information, knowing I'm not the only one with these problems, and not the only one who screws up, I may finally clean the dust off and give it another go. Thank you. Sonex 1340.
