Where the counterbalance plates exit the front of the aileron there is a series of rivets required along the sides of the plates and then there are 4 rivets that go thru the hinge, the skin and into the counterbalance ribs. I'm curious how builders have been setting these rivets, especially the 4 mentioned since the plates are blocking access...meaning I cant get the rivet gun or any of my hand rivet pullers anywhere near the right position to pull the rivet because the plates are in the way.
The rivets along the side of the plates wont be easy but they are do-able...its the 4 thru the hinge that have me stuck. I used a 12" bit to drill those holes so that the drill would be clear of the plates.
any advice would be appreciated.
thanks
