Looks amazing Kip! You've put a lot of work into those wings and they look amazing. It will be a shame to cover them up!

Do you have any estimate on the hours it takes to finish a Pitts? I'm assuming it will be at least 2000 but just guessing.

Keep up the great work!

Wow!

I love the wing in the living room. My wife is a trooper - gave up the garage, lets me store the tail in the spare bedroom with the aileron and flaps, even let me put the fuselage sub kit all over the basement. But I think she may draw the line there....

Looking good Kip!

I's say the patience level is about the same as with a metal project, Frank. Consider the tedious tasks associated with all of the holes that need to be prepped for riveting with metal. In all, I think it will take about as much time to build the Waiex...about 2000 hours.

falvarez wrote:Looks great Kip...can't wait to see the finished product. How do you like the woodwork....I didn't realize there was so much of it on that plane. I thought scratch building a Sonex took patience, but I think you must have way more than from the looks of all that intricate woodwork.

Nice "workshop"! You must eat out often :) The pics will serve as inspiration to those who think they don't have a place to work on their kit.

Not too much. I just eat standing up and then get back to work :)

I do look forward to being able to sit on my couch again and not look at a table...
