Temperature difference regarding CHT probe location.

Postby sonex1566 » Tue Oct 16, 2018 6:44 am

Hello everyone,
I have CHT probes from MGL which go under the spark plugs. Well it's a bit ugly, and I don't like it. I've mounted them for the moment under the top head nuts front and back. Has anyone ever tried this and recorded the difference in temperature between the plugs and the nuts? Am I going to Sonex jail if I run the motor this way? Hopefully I'll have everything ready to start the motor for the first time next week. I haven't been able to find any data on the temperature spread over the heads.
