Thanx Bryan. So the only thing that keeps the tank from sliding forward is the glare shield on top and the grooves that hold the straps from moving on bottom?

Hi Billy,

In the 3D world being held tight between the straps and the glare shield keeps the tank from moving up and down. I don't know if the plans have been revised, but back in the day the plans called for aluminum straps. Everyone substituted steel straps.

Wes .. plans call for steel straps now. But the only thing keeping it from moving foward is the taper of the glare shied? Billy

My tank is stopped by the horizontal extrusion in the front. The tank also just about hits the firewall, actually the square tube in the front. In the back there are angles that rivet to the glareshield and but up against the tank.
