Aerovee voltage regulator

Postby Waiex 176 » Thu May 31, 2018 7:20 pm

Hello. I found out today my battery is not charging. I think it’s the voltage regulator. I would like to know if anyone has any experience buying one at the local parts store. I don’t want to wait on a shipment from Sonex if I don’t have to. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

This one from Amazon was recommended to me a few years ago. It has a little better cooling fin design than what came with my aerovee kit. Mounting holes and hookups are the same. Cost is $23 with free shipping.

Thanks for the information Keith. I thought I would let everyone know for future reference I was able to find a voltage regulator at the John Deere dealership. Kawasaki Voltage Regulator Model # 21066‑7011
It’s used on their lawn tractors. The Kubota dealership said they usually have them in stock, but were out of stock. And believe it or not it was less than $45. It looks exactly like the one in the Sonex web store.
