Hi All,
I am not from the western part but I plan on flying in depending on weather. This will be my first time flying in and plan on camping out in the Sonex area. Will try to make the open house Sunday.

If I go, I'll be at camp Sonex in homebuilt camping. If Jeff can secure our location again. It was great.

AirVenture 2018

This will be my first time going. Bringing a flying buddy or two in our small camper and plan on coming in Saturday and leaving mid to late week with a model-b wing kit inside. Excited to meet everyone in person as opposed to on the forum. There will be plenty of booze and burgers in the camper if anyone stops by. Really looking forward to it and seeing everyone’s Sonex!

If you can find Camp Sonex and bring a load of booze and burgers, we'll make sure your trip back to your camp will be light.

A little bird is telling me that the great Gary Motley may be making a appearance, possibly in a Chinese warbird.

Hahahaha that’s so kind of you John, I’ll trade you burgers and booze for all of your tips on how to make my Model-B almost as fast as your Waiex!

What is a good airpot to stop at prior to KOSH to top off the fuel and do a final brief of the NOTAM. I am approaching from the southwest coming up from visiting family in Burlington Iowa.

I like to stop at Portage, WI (C47). It's an easy stop, they always have snacks and drinks in abundance. Fuel is always competitive, and they have MOGAS if you like.
